Large size "Mother and child" Sculpted Plaster with bronze colored paint. Mounted to Marble plinth.  Signed Bessie O. Potter Copyright 1893. This is possibly an artists Maquette or study for another sculpture. From a private Vermont collection. The base is one inch thick granite and measures 16" x 13". The statue is 13" Tall and weighs 45 pounds. The original plaster may have been damaged early in this statues life. Under closer inspection the front left corner has been cracked, tightly repaired, and painted over.
