Shown is a seed strewing farmer in striding pose, about to scatter the seed he is holding in his hand. Compositionally, the famer is based on the figure in Jean-François Millet's painting 'The Sower' from the year 1850. The bronze is on the side of the plinth signed in the cast 'Ferd. Frick'.
