SEYMOUR LIPTON (1903-1986): MAQUETTE FOR EAGLE Nickel-silver on monel, unique. 6 x 12 x 6 in. Note: Sculptor Seymour Lipton was an Abstract Expressionist artist and member of the New York School. He worked in several mediums, but is best known for his work in metal for which he introduced and used several technical innovations, including his use of nickel-silver over monel, as here.
