BRONZE SCULPTURE - Grand Tour Era Cast Bronze Scale Copy of the "Winged Victory" on the column in front of the Monument to Vittorio Emanuelle II in Rome by Mario Rutelli (1859-1941). Also used by the sculptor at the WWI Monument at Aberystwyth, Wales. The palm frond in her left hand has been replaced by a bow, in reference to Nike. The figure stands on an integral sphere, mounted on a blood marble plinth with black slate base. 27 1/2" tall, 15" wide at the wings. Light surface corrosion.
