Marin mostly works with clay, but has recently begun incorporating bronze and resin mixed with materials such as seeds, dried meat, and tobacco into his practice. Born in 1962 in Michoacán, Mexico, he received his BFA at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City. Today, Marin’s works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, among others. The artist lives and works in Mexico City, Mexico.
