Three Carved Tagua Nut Ornaments with Yin-Yang & Mask Motifs Lot of three hand-carved tagua nuts (approx. 1.5 in. dia. each). Two are carved as yin-yang medallions, each inset with small turquoise-colored cabochons; the third is carved and painted as a friendly mask/face. One additional nut shows two drilled holes to one side from prior stringing/display. These palm nuts, often called "vegetable ivory," were popular in Asia and Latin America for small carvings and curios. Size: Each approx. 1.5 in. (3.8 cm) diameter. Condition: Overall good with light wear; small nicks and natural fissures to nut surfaces; paint touchups to the face carving; one nut with two drilled holes as shown. Provenance: Private collection.
