Nicario Jimenez Quispe (Peruvian-American, b. 1957). Carved wood with boiled potato and gypsum powder pigment Andean folk art retablo, ca. 2004. The interior depicting a biblical "Garden of Eden" scene, with Adam and Eve beneath towering nopal cacti laden with vibrant fruit. Signed along the verso. Provenance: Purchased from the Artist's Studio, 2004; Private Minnesota Collection.
