Nicario Jimenez Quispe (Peruvian-American, b. 1957). Carved wood with boiled potato and gypsum powder pigment Andean folk art retablo, ca. 2002. The interior depicting a mask making workshop with craftsmen seated around a table; behind them, a wall adorned with miniature masks. Signed along the verso. Provenance: Purchased from the Artist's Studio, 2002; Private Minnesota Collection.
