Mâcon FRANCE , Joueur de Golf , 1936, a bronze award plaque by P.-A. Morlon, male golfer having just taken a swing with his club, rev. golf club, ball and a sprig of laurel, named (Compagnie Maritime des Chargeurs Réunis, Paquebot, Claude Bernard), edge impressed bronze and cornucopia, 69 x 40mm, 84.16g (CGMP p.277; cf . MDC e11, 1195; cf . Baldwin 52, 974). About extremely fine £40-£50 --- Provenance: DNW Auction 66, 6 July 2005, lot 1556. The packet-boat Claude Bernard , part of the Compagnie Maritime des Chargeurs Réunis fleet based in Le Havre, was in service from 1948 to 1956.
