Pete Johnston (20th century, Bahamian) Bronze Great Blue Heron Sculpture 2002, Abaco Bahamas Highly detailed patinated bronze sculpture depicting a great blue heron walking through a wetland or marsh, with one foot on a lily pad and cattails in the background. The piece was cast using the traditional "lost wax" method by the renowned Johnston Art Foundry. It is mounted on green marble, engraved with the "Pete Johnston" artist signature, date, and edition number 1/50. The whole sculpture sits atop an oval wood base.
