SNAFFLES (CHARLIE JOHNSON PAYNE) Anzac hand-coloured lithograph depicting a bomb thrower at Gallipoli with pencil drawing of an Anzac soldier charging lower left. Snaffles was born in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England and is recognised as one of the twentieth century's finest sporting artists. He also wrote and illustrated books including some recording his military experiences. 26.5 x 19cm signed in print
