dating: mid-19th Century Lot of two drawings depicting the Russian infantry. One signed and dated at the bottom right side "Zichy 1853", the other at the bottom left "Zichy 1854". With later frame, under glass. Mihály Zichy (15/10/1827 Zala, Hungary � 28/02/1906 St. Petersburg, Russia) studied in Pest. In 1844 he moved to Vienna and later on he became an art teacher in St. Petersburg, by the court of the Grand Duchess Katherina. His works and watercolours were really appreciated by the court, Zichy worked for four tsars. dimensions: dimensions 23.5 x 30.5 cm. provenance: Russia
