Pastel on paper painting, "Fence" is a painting from her postcard series. The artist traveled to a variety of different inspiring places to paint and combines her paintings with pieces from her letters. Santa Fe artist Carol Anthony writes: "Each are the footnotes of that longer and larger love letter that we don't need to write. They are the old-fashioned sound type and e-mail of today-but with a difference. They have two sides-one half being photo or illustration-the other half taking on the written word. For me, each represents the kinder gesture of melancholy and compassion, heart and humor."
