“Elizabeth is best known for her marine paintings that have a solitary and sublime melancholy.” -AMERICAN ART COLLECTOR magazine The artist uses memory, experience, and imagination. She works toward paintings that have a clarity of mood but a vague sense of place. Choosing elements that are signature components of her work, she “distills” a painting, working towards the goal of emotional and intellectual clarity.
