Original drawing of the wife of Hagar the Horrible, Helga, by the comic strip character's creator, Dik Browne (American, 1917-1989). Obtained at a Sarasota, Fla., charity event to which this piece was donated by Browne. Measures 28" x 30-1/2" overall. Fun fact: Evidently the artist began sketching the piece, then was compelled to add an additional panel to the piece's left side to allow for Helga's girth. (The previous lot is a sketch of Hagar.)
