Anderson, Feb. 26-Mar. 26, 1961, noted as an additional work from the collection, identified as Hunter's Catch Warder H. Cadbury and Henry F. Marsh, Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, Artist in the Adirondacks; An Account of His Career, Newark, DE, 1986, p. 231. A notation in the artist's painting file at The Adirondack Museum notes, "The present owner states 'painting has been called 'The Hunter's Catch.' Neither the subject matter nor the dimensions of this painting match any of the Register entries for 1874, although the painting itself is certainly authentic."
