ALEXANDER ALTMANN 1878-1932 Kiev region 1878/1885 - 1932 Nemours Title: View on Saint-Jean de Luz: the Mountains and the Bay Saint-Anne, 1922 Technique: Original Signed and Dated Oil Painting on Canvas Size: 55 x 46 cm / 21.6 x 18.1 in Additional Information: This oil painting is signed and dated "Al. Altmann 1922". In 1905 Altman moved to Vienna and then to Paris where he studied art at the Art Academy. His first solo exhibit took place in 1908. Altman painted impressionistic landscapes in the vicinity of Paris and exhibited his work at the Salon d'Automne, at the Salon des Tuileries in Paris and at Izdebsky's Salon. Condition: Good condition. Few pin holes on the upper edge and lower edge of the painting. Unexamined outside the frame.
