KATONA NANDOR LANDSCAPE OIL ON BOARD Oil on board landscape painting by Jewish artist Katona Nandor (Hungarian, 1864-1932). Brought up in dismally poor conditions, Nandor was discovered as a prodigy and later studied painting under the tutelage of László Mednyánszky, one of histories most enigmatic figures in Hungarian and Slovak art.
