1200.JOHN BUNYAN BRISTOL (1826-1909): CHURCH ON THE WATER'S EDGE Oil on paperboard, signed 'J.B. Bristol' lower right. 10 x 14 3/4 in., 16 x 21 in. (frame). Note: Born in Hillsdale, NY, John Bunyan Bristol was a student of painter Henry Ary (see lot 822). His landscape paintings feature views of mountains and lakes in the Hudson Valley, the Berkshires and New England, where he spent most summers.
