A woman dressed in traditional clothes has turned her back on the man sitting to her right. Her smiling face is however slightly turned towards him. The man has placed his arm around the woman’s shoulder and is leaning towards her in a motivating and inviting manner. The work is signed at the lower left ‘Vilmos Nagy’. Optically in a very good condition, it shows under UV-light, scattered touch-ups, especially in the lower area. The shoulder of the man shows a larger restauration, with a patch on the reverse of the canvas. Craquelure appears in places. The dimensions of the canvas are 79.8 x 60.1 cm, while the framed dimensions are 94.1 x 74 cm. (nlu) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
