The figures of a traditionally dressed couple appear on a narrow pathway between the fields in the middle ground and animate the scene. The painting is in very good condition considering its age. It is signed and inscribed lower right “L. Boll Dresden“. On the verso it is titled, signed, dated and inscribed “Blick auf den Genfer-See auf Genf; L. E. Boll 1852 pinxit“. The frame is not the original one and shows small traces of age and use. It measures 89 x 129 cm. The stretcher measures 79.5 x 120 cm.
