The tall sides with a bulbous middle section decorated in rich cobalt blue with a lion head confronted by a pair leaping dragons, with further dragons painted on the flaring neck and the splayed foot, six character Jiajing mark on the rim. H. 15 1/8 in. Note: An accompanying report from Thermoluminescence test from Artemis Laboratory states that this vase is approximately 450 years old. Despite this test, Keno Auctions has not assigned a date to this lot. Condition: Wear and abrasions commensurate with age, three small drill marks for testing on the foot rim.
