ALFRED GREY, RHA (IRISH, 1845-1926) Figure with chickens in a cornfield Oil on canvas Signed Alfred Grey, RHA (1845-1926) was a painter of landscapes and animals, particularly cattle. He was a prolific artist, exhibiting 486 works at the Royal Hibernian Academy between 1864 and 1924. These works include views of Dublin, Howth, Powerscourt, and Connemara. Grey also painted scenes in the Scottish Highlands, these featuring his favoured Highland cattle. His address is listed as, firstly, Lower Gardiner Street and later, Berkeley Road, Dublin.
