inscribed to Sarah Anne Hildyard, affectionately known as Tilla, governess to Queen Victoria's children, 'For dear Tilla in remembrance of the 25th of February 1860', ink and watercolour, on watermarked paper dated ?1858, of Wilmot mill, Shoreham, 310 x 200mm., inscribed in ink below, considered to be in Princess Helena's hand, [ 1860]. With a letter of authentication from the Royal Collection, 2016, bolstering the argument for attributing the work and the inscription to Princess Helena, rather than the Princesses Victoria, Alice or Louise, on the grounds of both artistic style and handwriting.
