Oil on canvas, 16 1/4 x 20 1/4 inches. Unsigned. The reverse of the canvas stamped "Prepared/ by/ O. Stearns/ 91 Washington St./ Boston" and "From/ J.J. Adams/ 99 Washington S./ Boston, Ms," the stencils dating the canvas to 1846-1848.Provenance: Purchased from descendants of the artist's family in Dedham, circa 1960.
