GEORGES BARBIER (FRANCE, 1882-1932) Original WWI Illustration Cover Art for "The Harvest", watercolor and ink, signed and dated 1918 lower right, celebrating the end of the war with a depiction of an American Doughboy soldier with a woman in patriotic dress who is gesturing towards the dying flames of war, a sunrise behind dissipating clouds behind two grieving young women. Housed in a black stick frame, self-matted with integral caption at bottom, under glass, 19 3/4" x 15 3/4". Good condition.
