Suzanne was the recipient of the Cape Cod Museum of Art's 2018 Artist Muse Award for outstanding contributions to the Museum and art community. She is known for her colorful still life oil paintings, abstracted Cape water paintings and white-line woodblock prints. Packer became one of the first Trustees of CCMoA. In 1984 she was appointed its first Director. She returned to the Museum in 2014 as the Volunteer Archivist and appointed an Honorary Trustee. She is a member of 21 In Truro, and the Printmakers of Cape Cod. She has been honored with numerous one-person exhibitions, including Cahoon Museum of American Art, Sparrow House Museum, "Spanning The Years" and "Cape Waters Abstracted", both at the CCMoA.
