Constantin Tofan (1952, Gârceni, Vaslui) Secret Geometries (2001) oil on paper; signed and dated lower right, in white: C. Tofan 2001; signed lower right, in black: C. Tofan 47,5 x 69,5 cm Tofan graduated from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iaşi at the Faculty of Design in 1974, then the George Enescu Academy of Arts at the Faculty of Decorative Fine Arts and Design in Iaşi in 1994. Since 1990, he has been a full member of the Union of Visual Artists in Romania. Painter and doctoral professor at the National University of Arts "George Enescu" in Iasi, Constantin Tofan won awards and had personal exhibitions in the country and abroad (France, Germany, Canada, USA, Belgium, Spain, Italy), and his works can be found in the collections of several national museums, as well as in private collections in the country and abroad. In 2019, the Art Museum within the Moldova National Museum Complex in Iași organized the painting and graphics exhibition "My World" dedicated to Professor Tofan.
