작품 상세

Steve has been painting on Cape Cod since 1981. He grew up in central Connecticut in a somewhat rural setting and spent summers with his family visiting northeastern coastal areas. Knowing he wanted to be an artist from a very young age, he began drawing animals, comic figures, shipyards and race cars. In the mid-seventies Kennedy went to Paier College of Art, where he graduated in 1981. Kennedy began painting plein air frequently, and eventually became dedicated to that particular style of painting. He still paints outside in all kinds of weather, year’ round. Steve’s work is in the permanent collection of the Cape Cod Museum of Art, The Cahoon Museum of American Art, the Truro Historical Museum, North Truro, the Wequassett Inn and Resort, Chatham and The New Haven Paint and Clay Club, New Haven, CT among others.
