Rufus Ogundele Nigerian abstract oil 1994 Camel Lagos African B1946 D1996. Emulsion paint on paper, 19.25in x 14.75in, 24.25in x 20.25in x 1.25in framed, signed titled and dated in lower margin, metal frame. Ogundele was associated with Duro Lapido, Dennis Williams, Georgina Beier, Jacob Afolabi and Solomon Wangboje. From Oshogbo and later Ife, he served as German Institution artist in residence in Bayreuth, Germany and has been compared to Nolde and Kirchner. Ref: Smithsonian Institution edu site.
