Since then he has exhibited in Spain, as well as in France, Italy, the United States and Germany. He is currently a member of the Sala Parés group in Barcelona. His numerous awards include the first honourable mention at the 1981 Logroño Painting Biennial, the medal of honour at the IV BMW Painting Prize (1989), the first prize at the Caja Rural de Salamanca (1992), the Lorenzo the Magnificent gold medal at the International Biennial of Contemporary Art in Florence (1999) and the first BMW painting prize in 1999, which was presented to him by Queen Sofia. He is represented in collections such as the BBK, BMW Ibérica, Enrique Ybarra, Grupo Prisa and Paolo Francisco Ribotto, as well as in museums such as the Bilbao and Logroño Bullfighting Museums, the Fine Arts Museums of La Rioja and Valdepeñas and the Contemporary Art Museum of Toledo.
