Antoine GADAN (1854-1934) - Sous bois - Oil on canvas signed lower right - 46 x 38 cm- Minor frame damage. Note: Antoine Gadan, born in Seurre in the Côte d'Or, learned his trade as a painter in his native country, in a self-taught manner, and a few early works depicting the Burgundy countryside still bear witness to this, but it was in his adopted country, Algeria, that he developed his exceptional talent as a landscape painter.
