The title translates to 'belonging to women,' referencing the sacred women's site of Mina Mina in Napangardi's ancestral country. As one of her earliest ventures into printmaking, this work marked the beginning of a lifelong engagement with the medium. Mina Mina is known for its two large soakage sites, which often appear as expansive clay-pans edged with salt crusts after water has receded. In this piece, Napangardi uses her distinctive white dotting technique to evoke these salt formations, creating a sense of rhythmic repetition and vastness across the surface. The intricate composition also traces the ancestral journeys of women, their paths intersecting and diverging across the land, embodying stories of movement, ceremony, and connection. This print stands as a powerful example of Napangardi's ability to fuse traditional Warlpiri Dreaming narratives with contemporary artistic expression, offering a deeply spiritual and visually compelling interpretation of Country. @ DOROTHY ROBINSON NAPANGARDI / Copyright Agency, 2025
