Ca. 1960. Oil on canvas. Unsigned. Titled: "Whalers, MERCURY and SWAN Setting Out From Hull in 1829". At Trinity House, Hull, England. The scene shows two whaleships departing the docks as several people gather to watch. Sight size: 22 1/2" high x 32 1/4" wide. In a carved and gilded frame measuring: 27 1/2" high x 37 1/2" wide. Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Old Dartmouth Historical Society, New Bedford, Massachusetts. Proceeds to benefit the collection.Good condition.
