EHRET, Georg Dionysius (German, 1708 - 1770). Tretragonotheca. Dill. Hort. Elth [Pineland Nerveray or Ginseng]. Watercoloron vellum. Titled at the bottom. 16" x 10 1/2" vellum. An Important North American Plant, Found throughout the American South This plant grows in the sandhills and open woods across much of the Florida panhandle. Butterflies are fond of its nectar provided by the rather long disk flowers which are also visited by bumblebees. This is the only member of the genus in Florida. It can also be found in similar conditions in the surrounding states.
