작품 상세

JOHN LESLIE BRECK (MA, 1860-1899) "Anisquam River", oil on canvas, signed lower right "JLB", in gold painted molded cove frame. One of the most promising of Monet's proteges, and certainly the most promising American, Breck died at age 39, by asphyxiation from lighting gas poisoning the night before the opening of his first one-man show in Boston.
