Summary:Background on Her Connection with Konstantin Korovin: Nurse Zari Sarah Herzberg cared for Alexei Korovin, the son of Konstantin Korovin, during the painter's later years. Alexei, the son of the renowned artist, required dedicated medical care. Payment in Artworks: Due to Konstantin Korovin's difficult financial situation, he compensated Nurse Zari Sarah for her care of his son with paintings. In 1923, Korovin painted a portrait of her, which is one of his well-known works featuring her as the model. Additionally, Korovin created a still life painting of a vase with yellow flowers as a gesture of appreciation, which included an inscription written by his son Alexei. The Heartfelt Inscription: On September 23, 1923, Alexei Korovin wrote a message of gratitude on the painting, thanking Nurse Zari Sarah for her dedicated care: "To Nurse Herzberg, thank you so much for your dedicated and long care.
