BIOGRAPHY: Mildred Sussman was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Zelda and Louis Yavner. She was the wife of the late Rubin Sussman, mother of Jay Sussman of East Greenwich and Rita Listengart of Boca Raton, Florida. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Sherril Sussman, son-in-law, Dr. Edward Listengart, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.At the age of twelve, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles, California, returning to New York City four years later where she met and married her beloved 'Ruby'. They were married sixty-three years before he died in 1999. They moved to Bal Harbor, Florida, 35 years ago and five years later to North Miami Beach where she practiced and enjoyed her lifelong hobby of portrait painting, sculpture and abstract art. While living in New York, she studied at the National Academy of Design, having been honored with a number of prestigious awards during that time.
