BIOGRAPHY: Hans Rudolf Richter (alias Hans Kerber) was born in Vienna, Austria in 1920. He was known for his masterful execution of an extensive series of romanticist portraits showing different professions. Richter attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts from 1945-1948 and later successfully focused on said portraits, still lifes and genre paintings in the tradition of Carl Spitzweg.
