DDS. Mario Giacomelli (1925-2000). La Casa di Rita, from the series 'Presa Di Coscienza Sulla Natura', 1954-2000. Gelatin silver print on Agfa paper, printed no later than 1979, signed and titled in black ink with photographer's stamp verso, 39.7 x 29.6cm (15 5/8 x 11 5/8in). Provenance: Acquired directly from the photographer by the present owner. Literature: Alistair Crawford, Mario Giacomelli, 2001, p.312. 'Rita' was Gicomelli's wife and this was her family home in the countryside which he photographed continually to show how the life of the land was being drained from over production.
