Large cabinet photo of Victorian women in a large setting 16x21" that appear to be mourning as they are all dressed in black and all have crosses on necklaces. Perhaps some organization as four of the women have fancier ribbons that others. The photo was taken F.W. Streit sometime between 1887-1904 as noted by his Juneau ave studio address on the back. F. W. Streit Photographic artist, was born in 1842, in the Rhine Province; he studied and practiced photography in the City of Trier, Germany from 1862 to 1865; emigrating then to America, he located in Chicago and practiced the art there until 1874, when he came to Milwaukee.
