Curtis wrote about this image: "The bride stands in the middle between two dancers hired for the occasion. Her father is at the left, and the bridegroom's father at the right behind a man who presides over the box-drum." One of the settings for Curtis' landmark film production In the Land of the Headhunters made with the Kwakiutl in 1914. It is one of the earliest documentary/dramas in the history of moving pictures.
