EDMOND MAURUS (DATES UNKNOWN) FRANZISKANER LEIST BRÄU / MUNICH. Circa 1930s. 31x22 3/4 inches, 78 3/4x57 3/4 cm. "Publix," Paris. Condition B+: repaired tears, creases and abrasions along vertical and horizontal folds. Maurus' graphic output was marked by a stylized Art Deco sensibility. Very little is known about his history, but he primarily designed travel posters for various early airline companies including Air Union, Cidna and Air France. He also designed handful of posters for commercial products.
