A showman at heart, he knew how to give an image eye-catching pizzaz and style, which showcased Mistinguett’s flamboyant public persona perfectly. Possibly referencing the fact that Mistinguett began her career as a flower seller singing ballads and folk songs in cafés and restaurants, this sweet image presents the performer as a naive darling of the stage.
