George Bellows (1882-1925) PRELIMINARIES (PRELIMINARIES TO THE BIG BOUT) (MASON 24) Lithograph, 1916, signed and titled in pencil, numbered No 49, on thin Japan, pale lightstain and matstain, rippling, two small foxing spots (one at top left sheet edge, one in the bottom margin), a soft crease through the bottom image extending slightly into the margins (mainly visible in raking light), some printer's ink in the margins and verso, minor loss at bottom left sheet corner, otherwise in good condition, with (full?) margins, framed. 15 7/8 x 19 1/2 inches; 403 x 495 mm. Sheet 21 1/8 x 23 3/4 inches; 537 x 603 mm.
