Ex-collection Karl Edouard von Liphart (?) (Lugt 1689, verso). A very good, well-inked impression of this extremely scarce, early engraving, with strong contrasts. We have found only one other impression at auction in the past 25 years; Christie's, London, December 9, 1997, lot 115. Bartsch 21.
