Antonio Tempesta (1555-1630) A group of four allegorical prints, etchings, on watermarked laid paper, c.1592 or later, one published by Giovanni Orlandi, v.s., largest 150 x 210mm. (6 x 8 1/4 in); with a mixed group of old master prints, including Jacob de Gheyn the Younger's Pikeman after Goltzius [B. 9; Holl. 184], two other engravings after Goltzius from the Metamorphoses series published by Visscher, an engraving by Claude Mellan of satyrs in a woodland, a copy after Callot of standing man in plumed hat [cf. Lieure 555], two French colour stipple-engravings of amorous couples in ineriors, and 8 others, v.s., all unframed (17).
