WILLIAM ROBINSON LEIGH The Foul Rope (Left). Etching printed in dark brown on cream wove paper, circa 1910s-1920s. 376x300 mm' 14 3/4x12 inches, 3/4- to 2 1/2-inch (full ?) margins. Signed in pencil, lower right. A superb impression of this extremely scarce etching. Based on the artist's same-title oil painting now in the Wadsworth Anthenaeum, Hartford. He also made a version of the etching after the painting with the horse and rider facing to the right.
