Merian the Elder, M. (1593-1650). Landscapes in the Schwalbach-Region, 'Die Schwalbacher Reise'. Etched title-p. ("Novae quaedam ac paganae Regiunculae circa Acidulas Swalbacenses") and 24 (of 25) plates, most ±11,5x16 cm., laid down, bound together, without binding. - All prints in good, dark impressions; all trimmed to/ on the borderline; partly w. sm. wormholes in upper left corner (a few prints upper left corner cut short); occas. sl. foxed/ soiled/ stained. = Hollstein 250-274. Almost complete series (bound in arbitrary order), lacking only the last print (Hollstein 275). The title-etching with the address of Peter Aubry, Strasburg, ±1620-1625 (the 2nd edition of 4, the first being the proof state of Merian), all prints probably from this edition. Bound with 8 others, including 7 by the same, i.a. from the set of Wooded Landscapes (Hollstein 280-285 and 287) and one from the series of Night scenes after Elsheimer or in Elsheimer's Style (Hollstein 414).
