A very good, richly-inked impression of this scarce engraving. Peter Paul Rubens was called upon by the civic leaders of Antwerp to design a series of triumpahl arches, made primarily of wood though painted to resemble stone monuments à la theatre scenery, to line the Cardinal-Infante's processional to the city center. With--A group of 5 engraved portraits by BOLSWERT; four of which are after VAN DYCK. Various sizes and conditions. Property of The Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, sold to benefit the acquisitions fund. Hollstein 326 and 332; and New Holstein 13, 49, 51 and 80 (Van Dyck).
